Once again Facebook users are sowing fields, feeding livestock and harvesting crops. With the second installment of the Farmville franchise from Zynga, all of the farming action is back, only this time in 3D.
After all the success of Farmville, Farmville 2 is now here. In this sequel it’s still all about farming simulation and you can expect to be doing more of the work on the farm that you’re used to from Farmville, however, this time you can enjoy it all in a more colorful and extravagant 3D package.
If you decide to start your own Farm in Farmville 2, you will start off with the simple task of planting and harvesting some delicious tomatoes. After a short tutorial you will be nicely settled in to the upkeep of your online farm. You can then head to the in-game shop and buy some seeds to plant almost anything you please, from pumpkins, to strawberries, to radishes or a number of other crops. Aside from the low growing fruits and vegetables, there are also seeds for various types of fruit trees that are available for you to include on your farm and pick from whenever your apples, pears, oranges or what have you are ripe.
Like any good farm, you can also customize your farm with various decorations or develop parts of your land to raise livestock. After all, it would be odd to have a farm without at least one of the standard farm animals trotting around, whether that be cows, horses, sheep or other domesticated animals. You’ll need to produce the feed for your stock on your own though, since you want to know what’s going in your animals and save some money doing it.
After all is said and done is the most exciting part, earning money for your hard work. You’ll be able to get some good returns on everything you invest in crops or livestock if you manage your resources well, and you can then use the profit to expand your farm or simply make it as luxurious as you can afford.
